We are looking for Laboratory Production Technicians to join us in our in-house laboratory based in Nottingham. Our Tech Centre has state of the art equipment, so if you’re looking to enhance your career or make a change, this could be just the right opportunity for you.
With a great training and development plan we will support you to learn how to cut and fit lenses into frames and use our state of the art equipment. We work within a fast paced environment to ensure all of our customers receive their glasses within agreed service level agreements, therefore a high level of manual dexterity is required.
Our Laboratory Production Technicians use precision tools and machinery to make spectacles for customers - sometimes to short deadlines. You’ll be dedicated to ensure we exceed customer expectations creating spectacles to the very highest quality standards for customers. You’ll take great pride in the lab equipment, helping make sure it’s well maintained. It’s important that you enjoy doing a job where routine tasks are a daily requirement but who takes delight from knowing the job you do makes a real difference to someone’s life. As you’d expect there’s a great deal of attention to detail in this role, working with small parts and highly advanced technology. Ideally we’re looking for some previous experience in optics but don’t worry if you don’t have experience, we’ll support you every step of the way with all the training and development you need to become an expert.

Hours of the role
40 hours per week, working Monday to Saturday with a scheduled day off in the week. Shift patterns are 6am until 2pm and 2pm until 10pm rotating on a weekly basis.
