We’re looking for a Store Manager to oversee the running of the store and be the key point in ensuring the smooth running of all departments. Ensuring that every member of your team works towards exceeding our customers expectations which will leave them feeling delighted. You’ll have a passion for exceeding customer’s expectations as well as your own. You’ll be a key communicator within the store ensuring everyone knows what they need to do when they need to do it.

You’ll also be responsible for the effective Retail, Lab and Professional staff scheduling to maximise store sales and peak hours of trading. You’ll also ensure that each member of your team has a development plan suited to their needs and to follow through with regular performance reviews.

You’ll also have a head for numbers as you will be responsible for the planning of the annual store budget and the continual monitoring of your store spend.

You’ll create an environment that encourages a sense of responsibility, accountability, involvement and ownership. You’ll also take responsibility for your own personal development and we’ll support you every step of the way with whatever step you want to take next.

What will we provide you?

Ideally you’ll:

• Be educated to A level standard (business related field)

• Be P.C literate to include basic MS Office i.e. Word and Excel

• Have budgetary knowledge and understanding

• Have effective communication skills both verbal and written

• Have good organisational skills

• Have the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment

• Have experience of coaching and mentoring

• Have previous experience in optics

You’ll need to have:

• Previous management experience

• Good attention to detail

• Excellent customer service skills

You’ll need to demonstrate good attention to detail along with good customer service. Proven management experience is essential. Team work also forms a big part of our culture so the ability to work well with other people is essential. You’ll also be enthusiastic and willing to help others learn.
