Do you enjoy mining for data and creating reports? Are you able to take multiple data points and create a narrative that aligns to the target audience’s needs? We are looking for a MI & Data Analyst to join our Store Support Centre on a fixed term contract until December 2023 supporting on the delivery of a HR/Payroll migration project.

The successful candidate will act as the subject matter expert within the project team when it comes to data, putting actions in place to determine the ongoing requirements for reporting and provide solutions through scoping, designing, and developing reporting catalogues and dashboards coupled with ongoing route cause analysis.

This opportunity enables the successful candidate to help shape the delivery of a key project within our collaborative People and Culture team.

This role offers hybrid working, ideally, we would like the successful candidate to be based in our Ruddington office 2-3 times per week to fully engage and collaborate on the project delivery.

What can you expect from the role?

This opportunity will see you become our expert within the project team when it comes to data and reporting. You will support in the migration and cleansing of data/reporting as we transition it over to the cloud. You will assist in the conversion of PL SQL reports to TSQL alongside our supplier. You will liaise with a multitude of stakeholders both internal and externally to ensure continuation of people data transfer.

About you

Experience within a reporting role is crucial to the delivery of this role as you will be the expert in this area. You will need to be able to interpret data and be able to present and deliver this with strong communication skills .

Technically speaking, Intermediate knowledge of SQL is desirable with working exposure to databases and table joins. Similarly, Familiarity with PowerBI would be advantageous along with some experience with Jaspersoft Studio or other BI tools such as Business Objects, Qlik Sense or Tableu. Python and R would be beneficial but not strictly essential.
