Shift Manager - warehouse

Job Description

We’ve got an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Shift Manager to join our returns team here in our Warehouse based in Colwick, Nottingham. As a Warehouse Shift Manager you will be the go to person within the Glasses Direct operation which entails customer returns, home trails, customer despatch and quality control, you will also deal with onsite Dispensing Optometrist’s within the operation.

What can you expect from the role?

As a Warehouse Shift Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring safety in the operations of warehousing activities across the site, making sure compliance with health and safety legislations are met and correct skills and training are in place for health and safety and environmental requirements. You will also be responsible for:

• Daily operational Management of labour costs and resource planning to the associated cost centres.
• Implementing productivity, quality, and customer service related KPI’s by embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
• Mentoring, coaching, and developing employees to create an agile workforce by Always encouraging teamwork and promoting a supportive environment.
• Working closely with the Warehouse Operations Manager in developing and delivery of the warehouse future strategy business plan.

About you

We are looking for an individual who has excellent communication skills, a confident approach to people management and the ability drive results in a warehouse environment. You will need to have a good understanding of Microsoft products.
