Role overview

As a Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Partner at Vision Express, you’ll partner with a key business area to support the attraction, selection and onboarding of top talent. In this role, you will strategically partner with hiring managers to understand vacancy requirements, upskill them on ‘what good looks like’, champion the candidate journey and drive overarching Employer Brand initiatives to successfully onboard colleagues into the business. 

We’re looking for a reasonable experience within a TA role where you can drive activity in partnership with your hiring manager population, whilst also being confident to challenge appropriately in order to drive high performance and the best possible candidate experience. 

You’ll build meaningful relationships with candidates, guiding them through the recruitment journey, managing the entire recruitment lifecycle, from initiating vacancies through to onboarding. Additionally, you’ll provide valuable insights on the candidate market, including salary benchmarks, ensuring competitive offerings. Most importantly, you’ll lead the way by suggesting improvements, shaping processes, and championing a candidate-centric approach. 

This role is a hybrid working role with three days per week in our Nottingham Head Office.

Who is the perfect candidate?

• Demonstrates a wealth of experience in talent acquisition, having worked in-house or within an agency setting, showcasing expertise in candidate attraction and engagement (head hunting). 
• Experience within Retail Recrutiment is beneficial, however not deal breaker. 
• A natural team player – You will have your core area to focus on, however we are one team and support one another when needed
• Some experience in a ‘Partnering’ or ‘Business Partner’ type role would be beneficial to proactively engage with hiring managers opposed to transactional recruitment 
• Exhibits a proactive approach to candidate sourcing, going beyond traditional methods and building future talent pools, showcasing self-reliance in finding the right fit for our roles
• Brings a natural curiosity and fresh perspective to the role, fostering an innovative approach to recruitment strategies, ensuring we stay ahead in the ever-evolving world of talent acquisition
• Manage tasks with finesse even in the fast-paced recruitment environment, demonstrating exceptional organisational skills and the ability to handle responsibilities effectively
• Possesses excellent communication skills, emphasising a collaborative and positive attitude, ensuring that our candidates always feel valued and appreciated throughout their journey with us
• Not being afraid of KPI’s – We’re not heavily KPI driven, however we are adopting new focusses on data and our impact on the business so an eye on delivery is key!
