IT Business Analyst

We’ve got an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our IT team in a fast-paced retail environment. In this role you’ll be at the heart of defining technology solutions, you will use a variety of elicitation techniques to identify and map out business processes, identify problems and articulate opportunities which will provide business benefit, assisting the IT Project Manager in delivering the planned business and IT projects.

What can you expect from the role?

Accountable for:

• Capturing and documenting business requirements and process improvements
• Assessing the impact of the solution on various stakeholders
• Assessing the feasibility of the recommended solution from a business perspective
• Ensuring that the development team understands the business problem and proposed solution
• Managing changes to business requirements and carrying out impact analysis
• Working with the testers during the test phase to ensure that solution is accurate and free of bugs and issues
• Working with the end users to help them understand the changes

   

  Responsible for: 

   

• Managing detailed business and systems analysis and documentation of functional and non-functional requirements and gaining agreement and authorisation to proceed to development
• Supporting the Project Manager and the wider delivery team to ensure that everything within the Business Analyst’s authority is done to meet the overall project delivery to time, quality, and budget
• Development of requirements and business process documentation

About you

Due to the nature of the role, we’re looking for someone who can demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills and can communicate effectively at all levels. You will need to have experience of working within a Business Analyst role. Having a technical qualification or Degree would be an advantage.
