Software Developer

We are looking for an IT Software Developer to join our IT team. In this exciting new role, you look after the end to end development of software programs across the business.

What can you expect from the role?

This opportunity will see you analysing user requirements and carrying out research to design and write new software programs across the Vision Express estate. Using your knowledge and experience, you will test new programs identifying any faults or issues. You’ll also look at ways to develop existing programs through analysis and to identify areas for modification.

We’ll look to you to integrate existing software products and get incompatible platforms to work together. Using your knowledge and experience you’ll create technical specifications and test plans, as well as writing operational documentation to support the application where necessary.

About you

We are looking for candidates with advanced knowledge of .NET Technologies including C#, ASP.NT, .Net Core, and experience of design and develop application and integration solutions using .NET frameworks. Knowledge of SQL Languages and data transformation services would also be beneficial, along with knowledge of ETL tools and ETL packages.

Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills and is has demonstrable experience of working to tight deadlines and managing multiple tasks at one time. This is a stand alone role so you will be expected to independently research to find solutions to problems.
